We are very proud of the contribution you made to Bridging the Talent Gap by completing the 2016 talent alignment survey. Thank you! It is because of YOU that HR has a seat at the table! Your cries for help have been heard in Frankfort, and we now have the support of Secretary Hal Heiner and the entire Education and Workforce Development Cabinet for the state of Kentucky to take the survey statewide. Only this time, the survey is open to ALL managers, line supervisors, HR professionals, etc. who are responsible for hiring employees; so please SHARE this email with your colleagues. We must continue building this bridge!
Are you struggling to find skilled talent for your open positions? This is an opportunity to put these challenges in front of the leaders that can incorporate workforce and education initiatives that will make a difference in your business. The Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM), in-conjunction with multiple business and economic development partners throughout the state, are conducting the 2017 Bridging the Talent Gap Survey to identify skills shortages in the state of Kentucky and potential ways to address them. The data results of this survey will help Kentucky educational and training providers to better understand skills gaps, workforce and education needs. The survey results will also help our partnerships with the Kentucky Center for Education and Workforce Statistics (KCEWS), the State's longitudinal data system and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System College System (KCTCS) to provide even more richness to the robust data sets.
Complete the survey before the chapter meeting on February 14th and join in the celebration of Bridging the Talent Gap 2016 Success and 2017 Kick-Off! GOOD NEWS! The survey is mobile friendly, so if you don’t have time to complete before the meeting, arrive a little early to complete it onsite. We will take Kentucky’s workforce to new heights with the data we’re collecting, and we’re proud that Louisville SHRM is a part of this.
If you would like to hear more about the survey and why it is so important for Kentucky businesses, please watch this short video featuring Education and Workforce Development Cabinet Secretary Hal Heiner as well as two of our HR Leaders, Beth Davisson and Lyle Hanna:

You will also be invited to an exclusive Kentucky statewide event to be held in May, in which preliminary data will be shared along with a panel discussion with state and educational leaders from across the Commonwealth. Date and location will be forthcoming.
Bonus for HR Professionals – by completing 20-30 minute survey, you will earn one (1) credit hour from both HRCI and SHRM towards your credential recertification.
