Career Stallers: Behaviors That Can Derail Your Career

Program Overview

If you are fortunate you will have a boss who is a leader, a supportive colleague or a caring friend who will alert you about behaviors that could block your career from moving forward.  We are not always so lucky to have such people in our corner and sometimes, when we do, their words fall on deaf ears.  In this session we will discuss examples of Career Stallers as defined by Korn Ferry International and ways to avoid them – because you intend to realize your full potential for a successful career!

Facilitator

Lisa Johnson, SHRM-SCP, is an internationally experienced human resource professional whose career includes working for organizations such as Toyota, Unilever, Tyco and Johnson Controls.  As owner of HR Know-How LLC she is a sought after trainer and public speaker.  She helps managers handle employee relations issues with confidence and guard against complaints competently.  Her content is grounded in the message that bringing humanity and consistency to daily interactions is key not only to personal growth but also to greater organizational productivity.  She is on the board of LSHRM and a member of the National Speakers Association. She was recently published in Imagination@Work: Shifting Boundaries in The Modern Workplace, a collection of insights from industry leaders.  She earned her MBA from Lewis University and has certifications through Myers-Briggs, Achieve Global and Korn Ferry.
