Program Details

The focus of the presentation includes the current state of mental health, how it is impacting employees and the resultant impact on employers, the factors at play that prevent individuals from seeking care including stigma, and the impact of social determinants of health are also discussed.  Finally, recommendations on how employers can help foster an environment conducive to good behavioral health as well as steps that individuals can take today to better their mental health.

Participants will learn:

1) What factors impact the mental health of employees and what prevents them from getting care.

2) How the mental health of employees impacts employers and the need to proactively support mental well-being.

3) How to foster an environment that supports the mental health of employees and ways that individuals can improve their own mental health.

Liz Gallus

Behavioral Clinical Strategist

Cigna

Liz Gallus, MA, LPC MHSP, is the Behavioral Clinical Strategist for the Southeastern region with Cigna, supporting the local Sales and Operations team. She has a keen understanding of clinical and operational processes and how they intersect with behavioral products. Liz joined Cigna in 2010 as a Care Manager. During her 12+ years with Cigna she has held various roles within CBH and Client Implementation. Liz holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Bethel University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Prior to joining Cigna, Liz worked in non-profit and private practices specializing in depression and treatment of trauma. She is passionate about de-stigmatizing and normalizing mental health.
